2 DECEMBER 2011

First gig with new Line-up

Saturday at the Queens Head in Box will be the first gig with our new line up as The Don of Darkness (the lead singer from our good friends and superb Black Sabbath tribute Snowblind) makes his debut on the tubs and lead vocals.

There will be a good smattering of Sabbath in Saturday’s set as would be expected and it looks like being an interesting night vocal duties get shared around.

More on this after the gig…………………………..

29 OCTOBER 2011

Line-up change

This is easiest explained by the entry on our Snowblind web site today

A little while ago Neil told us that, due to other musical commitments for next year, he would not be able to carry on playing in Snowblind.  Neil has very kindly stayed with us until a replacement drummer could be found and would have been happy to honour our remaining 2011 gigs.  It goes without saying that we very much appreciate this and we wish Nelly all the beast for the future.

7JULY 2011

The album “Three” Remixed

The album “Three” has recently been remixed and includes some re-recorded guitar harmony parts.  Andy explains “Basically we were never quite happy using a harmoniser on some of the harmony parts and after remixing the project last year to get the guitar sound I wanted we decided to re-record the harmony’s on Moments Before and Bleed through Me”

MP3’s on the Downloads page have been updated and now include the end solo (+ harmony) for “Bleed through Me”

The new version of “Three” is available at all Outsider and Snowblind gigs.

8 MAY 2011

This Saturday’s gig at Westbury is off

Snowblind line up appear in the second set in Bristol

As we have been sharing the stage with Snowblind at all of our gigs this year we haven’t played a large chunk of our own set for some time; so faced with the prospect of a full gig at the Anchor on Saturday we decided to bring Vinny (The Don of Darkness) on for the second set together with some extra sabs songs of course!  In fact we decided to bring a rather different looking Don on to the stage (definitely an LA look) for the last two songs of the first set Snowblind and Iron Man!

Next gig is the Bunch of Grapes in Bristol on Saturday 21 May with Snowblind……….

4 MARCH 2011

Tonight’s gig in Melksham is off

Change of management by the sounds of it.

More on the first Snowblind gigs soon……….

23 JANUARY 2011

New Band!!

When Nathan Brew joined the band last year he mentioned a friend of his that looked something like Ozzy Osbourne and happened to be a big fan of the Sabs.  It’s no secret that all of us in Outsider are rather partial to a bit of Sabbath so we decided to get together with Vinny and see what happened…………

The result of this will be unleashed at the first two gigs of the year

Will be headlining these gigs

Saturday 5 February   The Queens Head, Box

Saturday 12 February   The Bear, Melksham

Outsider will play the first set and what will certainly become the UK’s best Black Sabbath tribute will dish out an hour of classic Sabbath in the second set.

There will be quite a few more Snowblind gigs announced in the coming weeks.  In the meantime, here are some web links….
