Outsider is a three piece Heavy Rock band based near Bristol.

They are comfortable playing a complete set of their own material at show case gigs such as the Fleece and Firkin or Louisiana, but can also play a full set of covers for pub gigs.  More often than not, however, the set is made up of a mixture of both covers and originals, although lately the band has concentrated on an opening set for the Black Sabbath tribute Snowblind (that just happens to feature the members of this band).

Covers played include songs by Black Sabbath, Metallica, Diamond Head, Iron Maiden, Megadeath, Alice in Chains,

Ozzy Ozbourne, Jimi Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, UFO, ZZ Top, Motorhead, Free, etc…………………….

The bands set can therefore be varied to suit the venue/audience.

The band was formed in January 1998.  The original line up included Andy Sayers (Lead Guitar & Vocals), Keith Townsend (Drums) and fellow founder member Andy (Jock) Jamieson (Lead Guitar).  Andy’s previous bands included Traitors Gate and Zenith.  Outsider was joined by Dave Williams on Bass Guitar in September 1998, some 4 weeks before their first gig.

Various changes were made to the line up of the band throughout the period from 2000 to 2002 with both Terry Anderson (Guitar) and Pete Brierton (Bass) helping to keep the band going.  In March 2002 Neil Phillips (Drums) and Dan Cable (Guitar) joined the band.  Dave Werrett (Bass Guitar) joined in May 2003, just two weeks before his debut gig.

Dave Werrett returned to deputise following the sudden departure of Alex Price (February 2007 to April 2010) and Nathan Brew took over bass duties from October 2010.

The band released their latest album “Three” in 2009.

But it doesn’t stop there…………

Together with our good friend Vinny, all the members of Outsider are now heavily committed to a new venture……… Snowblind

And during the coming months the new band will simply become the UK’s Number 1 Black Sabbath tribute
